The brain triggers

The brain Trigger
In the start of every artistic career, apart from talent and determination, there's always something that triggers
someone's mind or brain.
That burning sensation that keeps you unsettled until you rise up and start doing something about the situation.
Whether you have any idea about what you're trying to do or not, the desire to make thing happen keeps you going
until you find the knowledge for doing it right, the right people to work with, and help you grow.
As a musician, these are some of the triggers.
1. Listening to your favorite singer on a track with nice sounding vocals, professionally composed, arranged instruments,
    recorded, mixed, and mastered.
2. Watching your favorite artist among others performing live on stage with a band full of different musicians playing the song which you always hear on the radio or watch on TV.
3. Watching someone's song on TV, that person you always pass by on the streets not knowing that person is a musician and inside you, you start believing that you can also do it if at all you're walking on the same streets with the stars.
4. For most producers, 1.when we listen to different beats and songs of different genres and when we hear the names behind that amazing work,
we get excited, and then the interest of becoming part of the game develops. 2. Some producers have a music background.
Some of them were band members and later started to help in making demos for their friends before going to the studio and in the process, they learned how to do it. But all in all, with talent or determination, we're all able to make it so don't hold your self back and if you feel the guts to do it, start with me here. Trust me I'll take you through the journey slowly by slowly.
Any of these can trigger you to find different ways of becoming part of the people who make things happen and play your role.

When I bought my first PC in 2010, my intentions were to be a graphic designer. But as we all know it's difficult to do something on a computer without music playing in the background so I had to collect a lot of music that I came across and in the end, I ended up with an mp3 music business to earn some money.
In all the genres of music I collected, I came across the Jamaican style of reggae music. Though it wasn't my first to
hear about reggae music because we already had our South African Reggae star the Late Lucky Dube (RIP), but the Jamaican vibe was on a level of its own.
Since then, my perception of music changed and I started developing questions in my head and some of these questions were 1. How do these people make this music? and 2.What do they do and use to achieve such a sound in the studio? 3. Who are these people?
One of the answers I got was and it's one of those that has guided me for this long because of how I interpreted it.

The studio has these people and they're the ones who contribute towards that song we all listen to, dance, and enjoy. The question is, are these people also human beings like you? The answer is yes. But what makes the difference between you and them is, these people took their time to study and mastered their art so if you want to be in the same league with the, you must do the same but not by only reading book, but by doing the work as you're developing the skills. In fact, let me tell you that the best class is going to be your studio. You get the knowledge as you apply it to your studio work.
NOTE: DON'T USE A TRICK WHICH YOU'RE NOT YET SURE OF ON A CLIENT'S PROJECT.
These people are:
1. The producer
2. The engineers (the most known are: recording, mixing, and mastering engineers. We shall learn more on others in the future).
3. Session musicians.
4. The recording artist (which is the big prize we all focus on).
5.Writers. etc.

I started envisioning my self sitting in the studio making music and playing around with the equipment. One of the most important changes I developed was, I started listening to music for the purpose of learning because I knew the journey I had embarked on and the things I had to do to achieve what I want.
I started going around the city trying to find musicians especially those who could help me to find some knowledge about music production and the playing of instruments. I happened to find some who demanded some pay and those who just offered their knowledge freely but they were all very helpful. The truth is, even the ones I paid I still feel like I owe them much for what they gave me, and the only way I can pay them back is to help you also by sharing my experience with you.
I hope this has worked as an eye-opener to our journey of The basics of digital audio/music production.

Basics of digital audio/music production

The author's introduction

Hi visitor!
Welcome to our website www.greengrassproductions.com/Blog.
My name is Khiddu Pius Juuko aka Piusounds, am the founder and CEO of Greengrass productions with a record label called
Greengrass Records and a recording studio.
Though most of you don't know me and those who have heard about or by any chance have seen me on social media ask themselves who the person I am. Let me make a simple introduction about my self.
I am a musician, music/audio producer, recording, mixing, and mastering engineer, voice-over artist, and director in languages
mostly Luganda (my native language) and Swahili, and I also do some music composition and writing which am now planning
to take to the next level if God wishes.
I have an experience of 5yrs in the recording industry and I have got a chance to work with quite a number of individuals and
companies, small and big.
The companies I've worked under as an employee are Esom school of music, as a producer and an audio production instructor,
then I joined Swangz avenue as an audio/music producer, voice-over artist, and director and am quite sure you've heard my
the voice on your radio or TV set on different occasions or a minute just before you came to this site.
My reason to start this blog is the interest to share with you some of my knowledge and experience which I have acquired in
my time of work as a producer which can be applied by those who are interested in joining my career whether by talent or determination
but they don't know where to start from, and maybe, even those with the experience I have or more.

Language.

In my posts, I will be using simple English since am not a good English speaker but for everyone to understand I'll try my best, please
bear with me, and for the language of music and sound, I'll be introducing new terms as they're used professionally in the industry but I'll try to explain everything in simple terms and make sure that you understand all the concepts behind

Contributors.
As time goes on, am expecting to introduce some other contributors with experience in different areas of production and music and
please note that whichever knowledge shared here is not the final and we're not trying to make decessions for you but we're only
trying to guide you by sharing the knowledge we have acquired and note that we also continue to learn every day, every hour and
every second of time so after here you'll need to go and do more research on different topics.
This is my introduction and thanks for your visit.
